Aluminium powder coated frames form the structure for lightweight and rust free furniture. Small imperfections in the powder coating can sometimes occur and this is considered to be normal.
Aluminium furniture frames (with all soft cushions removed), should be washed down regularly with mild soapy water, then rinsed with fresh water and wiped over with a clean soft cloth. Do not use abrasive materials or cleaners. This is particularly important for coastal areas where prolonged exposure to salt air may lead to corrosion causing the powder coating to bubble or peel.
Furniture should be clean and completely dry before storing for any period of time.
How often you need to clean down your furniture will depend on where it is located, how often and how heavily it is used and if you keep it covered (which we recommend) when not in use.
